From there you can get into a large hall, which probably served for official ceremonies. The Palatine Chapel is adjacent to it. In the middle of the 16th century, this hall was rebuilt by the Abbot Decio Caracciolo, who added a huge staircase visible from the entrance of Largo Antica Corte. A chapel dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary was built between the 13th and 16th centuries.
