Museum of private collections of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts AS Pushkin, is part of the complex of buildings of the Pushkin Museum on Volkhonka. The Museum of Private Collections was inaugurated on January 24, 1994. The exposition of the museum is located in the left wing of the Golitsyn estate, built in the 17-19 centuries. In 2005, a new building was built for the museum's collections. It united three old buildings with an atrium above the passage. The first two floors have a permanent exhibition. The third floor is used for organizing temporary exhibitions.

The funds of the museum consist of thirty personal collections, which were donated by the Pushkin Museum. Pushkin. The beginning was laid by the famous Moscow collector, literary critic, art critic and public figure - I. S. Zilberstein.

The collection of the museum contains about seven thousand works of art. These are works of Russian and Western European art, created in the 15-20 centuries. The collection includes sculpture, painting, graphics, art photography and applied art.

On the ground floor there are collections of Svyatoslav Teofilovich Richter, Dmitry Krasnopevtsev's workshop, a collection of works by Rodchenko and Stepanova, works by L.O. Pasternak, Alexander Tyshler, David Steinberg and Vladimir Weisberg, as well as a hall of individual gifts. On the second floor there are halls where collections of I.S.Zilberstein, T.A.Mavrina, S.V.Soloviev, M.I. Chuvanov are kept, as well as a collection of Russian and Western European art glass. The suite contains a collection of animalistic sculptures. Temporary exhibitions are held on the third floor.

The purpose of the museum is to present as fully as possible exhibits from private collections donated to the museum in different years of its existence. The exposition is arranged chronologically. There is a plaque with the donor's name next to each exhibit.
