Photo and description

St. Peter and Paul is a fine example of the early 17th century baroque. Architect Giovanni Trevano designed an elegant three-tiered facade with pilasters, volutes, niches, and a spacious interior. In the midsection, where the nave meets the transept, there is a powerful elliptical dome. Along the walls of the only nave, interconnecting chapels are built in, forming a kind of side naves.
