The Ethnographic Museum in Balchik is located in close proximity to the City Historical Museum. The exhibition is housed in a beautiful restored two-story Renaissance building, built in the 60s of the 19th century. The museum fund has more than 1,500 items reflecting the peculiarities of the life and culture of the inhabitants of the local region: tools, furniture, iron and copper products, etc. you can also see examples of traditional folk clothing, decorations, embroidered fabrics, and much more.

On the ground floor there is an exposition dedicated to crafts and crafts. Museum guests can see tools for woodworking (drills, planes, etc.), and everything that was needed in a forge in the 18th century (bellows, tongs, anvil, hammers). Metal pots, copper pots, pans, trays made by blacksmiths are also on display.

In addition, a home sewing workshop has been reconstructed in the museum. The exhibits in this room include tailor's tools: scissors, rulers, thimbles, irons, braid for decorating clothes. The manufacture of leather goods could not do without special scrapers for cleaning leather, tools for stretching and drying it, etc.

On the second floor of the complex, visitors will be amazed by the abundance of flowers and patterns that adorn festive national dresses. Weaving is one of the oldest occupations in Bulgaria. The exhibition features equipment used by the hostesses: spinning wheels, horizontal loom and more. Showcases display hats, pendants, pins, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, belts with metal buckles, etc.

At the entrance to the museum, there is a small well-kept garden in harmony with the architectural appearance of the building.
