Photo and description

Yalta Crocodilyarium is a new attraction in the resort town of Yalta. The Yalta Crocodilarium is a large exposition of the most ancient inhabitants of our planet, which have retained their appearance for an entire era.

In the month of December, seventy-seven Nile crocodiles were born. By that time, an impressive collection of various species of turtles and crocodiles had already been collected in the Alushta aquarium. In this regard, it was decided to create a new house for such a group of pets, in which they would have comfortable conditions for living and reproduction. It is here that special attention is paid to reproduction, since the increase in the number of reptiles is the main goal of the Crocodilarium of the city of Yalta.

The Crocodilarium of Yalta has collected the largest species collection of ancient reptiles in Ukraine. This exhibition provides an opportunity for visitors to see a wide variety of sea and river turtles, crocodiles, monitor lizards, iguanas and pythons. Among reptiles, there are different individuals - both small and quite large.

In addition to the Nile crocodiles, other representatives of the crocodile family also live in the Crocodilarium. There are Cuban crocodiles, which are capable of complex collective interactions, crocodile caimans, burrowing in the silt during a drought or hibernating. Also, there are Schneider's caimans and amazing African blunt crocodiles.

The crocodile farm has several representatives of the oldest species - vulture turtles. These individuals are the largest in Ukraine. Among the inhabitants of the Yalta Crocodilarium there is a pair of tiger pythons. They are also one of the largest representatives on the territory of Ukraine. The length of each tiger python is about four meters. The country's largest pair of Nile monitor lizards, each one and a half meters long, will also live on a crocodile farm in Yalta.

The most interesting species - the snake-necked turtle - will take its special place in the Crocodilarium. They represent the owners of the longest neck of all their brethren. When they come out of the water, the neck appears first, as if a snake crawls out, and then the body with the shell follows. Only in the Crocodilarium of Yalta can you admire the African protopter, snapping turtles and the Matamata turtle - the funniest turtle.

You can talk for a very long time about the diversity and merits of the inhabitants of the Yalta Crocodilarium, but it is best to visit it personally and see everything with your own eyes!
