Aalborg Zoo is one of the largest zoos in Denmark. The history of the creation of the Olborg Zoo begins in 1935. The main purpose of organizing the menagerie was not only to acquaint visitors with animals and birds, their habits, but also to conduct scientific work. Today the zoo takes part in many international projects for the conservation and breeding of rare animal species in captivity.

The park's territory is 8 hectares of land, which houses more than 1500 animals belonging to 126 different species. In front of the entrance to the zoo, there is a list that lists all the species of animals that are in the zoo, as well as a list of services provided by the park.

The zoo has all the climatic conditions for a comfortable habitation of animals from different continents. The banks of artificially created rivers are inhabited by crocodiles, forests are inhabited by bears, monkeys live in a humid tropical forest. The African shroud is rich in a variety of animals; giraffes, lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, hippos live here.

The building with polar bears, which was opened 10 years ago, attracts much attention of tourists. The walls of the enclosure, where the polar bears are kept, are made of glass, which allows visitors to observe the behavior and habits of animals in close proximity from a very close distance.

The zoo management creates favorable conditions for the breeding of their pets. Also in the menagerie there is a building with rare, endangered animals, which are under the protection of the world organization Greenpeace.
