Photo and description

The Rude Fountain was created by the sculptor K. Kasperavicius for the 750th anniversary of Siauliai in 1986. A special feature of the fountain is that it was built on the site of a stream that once flowed along Rude Street, but over time the stream went underground. In honor of the street along which it flowed, the stream was named and subsequently the fountain itself. It took a lot of effort to turn the restless and fast stream into a fountain, but now it pleases the eyes of local residents and visitors of Siauliai. The fountain is made in the form of a dome and is decorated with beautiful antique carvings by the sculptor. You can look at it at the intersection of st. Rude and Vilniaus.
