Another important attraction of Siauliai is the fountain-sculpture "Motherhood" by A. Toleikis, characteristic of the city. The idea of the fountain and its establishment took a long time to mature, and finally, in 1979, the sculptural composition was donated to the townspeople. It very correctly, figuratively conveys the warm relationship between mother and child. The baby sits on her mother's lap, sheltered from the whole world, adversity and disease.
