Vrublevets forest description and photo - Ukraine: Kamyanets-Podolsk. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionVrublevets forest is located on the hills at the confluence of the Tarnava and Dniester rivers. It is a state botanical natural monument of local importance. The most beautiful forest landscapes of the reserve are spread over an area of 89 hectares. In this forest area of natural origin, covered with hornbeam and oak trees characteristic of this zone, you can see many interesting and unusual things. Here you can find a relict species - white sedge (carex alba). The steep hills (or, as they are also called, "tovtry") are dotted with the usual nesting site - an orchid, an autotrophic organism that does not have green leaves and only thanks to its symbiosis with woody plants provides itself with food. The village of Vrublivtsi, located not far from the reserve, is famous for that it contained fragments of one of the oldest sites of the Early Paleolithic (about 300 millennia ago) and the Late Paleolithic (40-13 millennia ago). In this place, research was carried out on the remains of an early Tripolye settlement (4,000 BC), a burial ground of the early Scythian period (7th century BC), an early Slavic settlement of the Chernyakhov culture and the period of Ancient Rus (10-12 centuries). All this makes the reserve an excellent place for recreation and "green" tourism. Local residents come here to relax and touch the nature. Sports competitions for children and adults in hiking, orienteering, skiing and many other exciting activities are regularly held in the Vrublevets Forest. The forest is beautiful at any time of the year, it hides magnificent sunny glades in its depths, mushroom pickers and wild berry lovers often come here.
