The Chudomir Literary and Art Museum in Kazanlak was founded on May 27, 1969. The building in which the museum is located, in the past belonged to the famous Bulgarian writer, artist and public figure Dimitar Chorbajiski (1890-1967), also known under the pseudonym Chudomir. Soon after the death of the author, his house was given the status of a museum, and on April 13, 1979, exhibitions dedicated to the life and career of this interesting and versatile personality were opened.

The exposition is located in three halls, on a total area of 300 sq. meters. Visitors to the museum can see more than 15,000 different items: the death plaster mask of Dimitar Chorbajiski, original manuscripts and personal documents, photographs and facsimiles, drawings and sketches, letters, books and much more. Among the exhibits are not only things that belonged to Chudomir, but also to his wife, the artist Mara Charbodzhiyskaya. In addition, an authentic setting has been preserved in the house-museum. Thanks to this, the guests of the museum have the opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the place where Dimitar Chorbadzhiski lived and worked. In a small art gallery there are several paintings: "Nashensi" (1936), "Klukarkata" (1959) and others.

The building in which the museum is located is a cultural and architectural monument of national importance. The complex itself, which is the only literary and art museum in Bulgaria, is included in the list of the Hundred National Tourist Sites.
