Ethnographic tourism invariably attracts curious travelers coming to Kamchatka Krai. A visit to the Itelmen village "Pimchakh" - an open-air museum, will acquaint tourists with the history, life and ethnos of this ancient indigenous people of Kamchatka. Pimchakh is located under the Ostroy mountain in the Elizovsky district, 40 km from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Pimchakh is a real living village in which centuries-old traditions are preserved, carefully preserved by the tribal community of Itelmens. All village buildings are made in accordance with the descriptions of the famous explorer of Kamchatka of the 18th century, Stepan Petrovich Krasheninnikov. Summer and winter dwellings of the Itelmens - booths or barabor, Yukolnik - a building for drying fish, a fire pit, a wooden idol - tourists will be surrounded by the atmosphere of medieval Kamchatka.

The hospitable hosts will treat guests with dishes of national cuisine, introduce them to dwellings and everyday life, charm with national songs and dances, ancient shamanic rituals, and offer handmade souvenirs. Those who wish will be able to climb the Ostraya hill, sacred for the Itelmen, live in Itelmen dwellings, take part in the collection of berries, mushrooms and their subsequent processing, go fishing, taste the fish soup prepared according to the Itelmen recipe.

At night tourists will be offered to take part in the mystical ritual of cleansing the spirit - "Walking on coals". Tourists are offered various programs for visiting the village - from four hours to three days.
