Description, photographs and a map showing the nearest significant objects. The name in English is Crkva Svete Trojice. Photo and descriptionThe Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity is located on Starogradskaya Square in the center of Budva Old Town. The City Archaeological Museum is located here, directly opposite the temple. The building of the church was erected by numerous requests from representatives of the Orthodox confession in the early 19th century. The temple is perfectly preserved and even despite serious restoration work after the devastating earthquake in 1979, the temple looks great today. The architectural style of construction tends to the Byzantine, which was characterized by the construction of domes and vaults. The Budva Church of the Holy Trinity is an exact copy of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Podgorica. Both temples are built of stone, in two color combinations - red and white, the strips of which alternate during the masonry of the walls. The high bell tower is crowned with three bells. The modest appearance is compensated by the luxurious interior decoration of the Holy Trinity Church. Inside is a tall baroque iconostasis by the Greek artist Naum Zetiri. Colorful mosaics and frescoes with gilding cannot be ignored - they are located above the entrance to the temple. A famous Montenegrin writer and public figure rests next to this church. This is the grave of Stefan Mitrov Lubisha, a Budvan fighter for the people's freedom - Dalmatia, who lived in the 19th century.
