Photo and description

Annapurna National Park was founded around the mountain range of the same name in 1986 and since then has been breaking all records in popularity among tourists. On the territory of the park is Mount Annapurna, consisting of three peaks, the highest of which reaches 8091 meters above sea level. Annapurna is the tenth highest mountain in the world. She was the first of eight-thousanders (there are only 14 of them on Earth) to submit to man. And she is considered the most dangerous among these eight-thousanders. Approximately one third of climbers die trying to conquer its slopes.

Mount Annapurna is surrounded by two rivers: Marsyandi and Kali-Gandaki. In their valleys there are several towns and villages where representatives of the indigenous tribes of Nepal live. The Kali-Gandaki Valley, located between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains, recognized as the deepest in the world.

Among the attractions of the natural park, one should note another mountain called Machapuchare, 6993 meters high. She can only be photographed, but not conquered in any way. According to the beliefs of local residents, Shiva himself lives on the mountain, whose peace should in no case be disturbed.

Under the Tilicho mountain, at an altitude of 4919 meters, there is a beautiful lake of the same name. The path to it is long and unsafe, but the view that opens up to those who nevertheless managed to get here is worth any hardship.

In the Annapurna National Park, in the most unexpected places, you can see various sanctuaries arranged by local residents. professing Buddhism and Hinduism. The most popular local temple is Muktinath, built over the place where natural gas emerges. which, when combined with air, ignites spontaneously.

There are hiking trails in Annapurna Park, at the end of which tourists will find the most beautiful sights of this part of the Himalayas.
