Behind the Schnoor quarter there is a famous street called Botcherstrasse or Bocharov street. Bremen has its own measure of weight, the Bremen Barrel, which can hold 920 herrings. This street consists of seven houses. And each house has its own name. For example, House of Robinson Crusoe, Fountain, Seven Sloths, House of Atlantis.

House number six on this street is called the House of Ludwig Roselius. It was home to the inventor of decaf coffee, merchant Roselius, who rebuilt this street in the Art Deco style. At the beginning of the street, you can see a bas-relief depicting the Archangel Michael fighting a snake.

This street also houses the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum, famous for her naturalistic depictions of poor, hungry and dying peasants.
