Paradise Park description and photos - Crimea: Partenit. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photos and a map showing the nearest significant objects. Photo and descriptionOne of the main attractions of the urban-type settlement Partenit is the park of garden and park art, which belongs to the health-improving complex "Aivazovskoe" (now the park "Paradise"). The park, covering an area of 25 hectares, is located on the steep slopes of the Kuchuk-Lambatskaya Bay amphitheater, between the two capes Tepeler and Plaka, and serves as an excellent example of the harmonious combination of traditional Russian park building with modern trends. The park was originally founded on the site of the vineyards of the Kuchuk-Lambata estate in 1964-1966. Planting was carried out with two and three year old seedlings and large-sized planting material in the form of groves, alleys and groups of cypresses, pines and cedars. At the same time, the seashore was thoroughly fortified, all buildings were put on piles. The reconstructed drainage system made it possible to regulate the groundwater regime, and the retaining walls made it possible to avoid the occurrence of landslide processes. A few years later, densely planted trees have grown and formed a whole forest park. Due to the lack of the necessary maintenance of the plantings, the park compositions have lost their aesthetic qualities. In 2003, a radical reconstruction began, which turned it into a magnificent man-made park called “Paradise” with exotic plants, lakes, waterfalls, streams and beautiful sculptures. Legends, historical facts and myths associated with the Partenit Valley were used as the basis for the composition of the park's figurative structure. Along with exhibitions that reflect the history of the region, newly created compositions play an important role in the development of the park, bright representatives of modern landscape architecture and new trends in gardening art. Thus, the landscape English garden contrasts with the regularity of the Italian, the Mexican garden displays the image and landscapes of pre-Columbian America, the Japanese garden - the customs and philosophy of Eastern culture. More than 250 species of trees and shrubs grow in the park. The pride of the park is a two-hundred-year-old European olive grove.
