Grunwald Bridge is one of Poland's longest bridges: 112 meters long, 18 meters wide, and weighing 2.3 tons. It was built of steel, brick, and granite. The construction of the bridge took place from 1908 to 1910. Initially, the bridge was named Imperial. Later it was renamed the Freedom Bridge. The project was created by the German architect Richard Pludemann. The inauguration of the bridge took place on October 10, 1910, in Emperor Wilhelm II.
