Photo and descriptionThe Murmansk Drama Theater of the Northern Fleet was founded in 1936 in the House of the Red Army and Navy that existed at that time. To date, the theater has been serving for the good of the Fatherland, the inhabitants of the Arctic Circle, as well as the sailors of the North Sea for more than seventy-five years. The Murmansk theater, together with the fleet, took part in the fight against the enemy during the Finnish campaign, which took place on the northern sector of the front of the bloody Great Patriotic War. For their military heroic merits, 55 people who were theater workers received awards as medals and orders. The pride of the Northern Fleet Theater was the veterans who formed theatrical artistic principles, which include: selection and collecting of creative actors, a highly artistic repertoire, education of a moral, ethical and moral atmosphere, as well as theatrical spirit of collectivism. One of the founders of the drama theater was Isai Borisovich Shoikhet, who was the main director of the theater during the 1940-1960s. People's Artist of the USSR V.
