The history of the Nicholas Church on Grigorovka is inscribed on the pages of the centuries-old chronicle of the sanctuaries of the Kharkiv region. Archival documents also preserved information about the clergy of St. Nicholas Church. The temple conducted a wide range of educational and educational activities. In the village of Grigorovka, under the patronage of the church, a public school was opened and worked. The church had a library with 250 volumes of books of spiritual and moral content, which were approved by the spiritual censorship.

With the revolution, the situation for the Nicholas Church changed abruptly. Its affairs were handled by the 5th department of the Kharkov District Executive Committee. In the early twenties, practically nothing remained of the former splendor of the temple. All church valuables were confiscated. The condition of the temple was deplorable. In 1924 the community was re-registered. But already at the beginning of 1925 there was a theft in the church - thieves entered the premises through the window and stole everything of value left after the "legal" elimination.

For almost thirty years (until 1989), St. Nicholas Church was closed. In 1989, at the request of believers, the remaining parts of the church were transferred into the possession of the Orthodox community of the UOC-MP. The restoration of the temple was carried out thanks to the diligent care and efforts of Abbot Paul. His successor, Father Alexander Gerashchenko, achieved the transfer of a large two-story building to the church, which is supposed to be used for charitable purposes.
