One of the most famous sights of the city of Lviv is the house-museum of the world-famous opera singer Solomiya Krushelnytska, which is located on the street of the same name at number 23.

Musical- the memorial museum of S. Krushelnitskaya is located in the former house of the singer, which she acquired in 1903 for her family. Permanently living in the city of Viareggio (Italy), the singer returned to her homeland, to Lviv, only in August 1939. Later, the house became state property, while Solomiya was left with four rooms, where she lived with her sister Anna until her death (1939 -1952).

The decision to establish the museum was made in early 1979. After a long renovation and restoration, the museum's exposition was exhibited in the building, and in October 1989 it was opened. its grand opening took place, although restoration work lasted another year and a half. In 1991 the memorial began its activity as “Lviv Literary and Memorial Museum of Ivan Franko”, and already in 1995 the museum received the status of an independent state institution. The founders of the museum are Odarka Bandrevskaya and the niece of S. Krushelnitskaya.

The S. Krushelnitskaya Musical Memorial Museum is always glad to meet visitors every day, except Tuesday. A tour of the museum is a whole journey into the past, into the artistic world of S. Krushelnitskaya. It consists of seven exhibition halls decorated in the style of the early twentieth century. Here you will find more than 15 thousand different exhibits, for example: concert programs, original photographs, personal belongings of the singer, posters, sheet music, portraits and fragments of stage costumes, as well as a lot of materials that are associated with other famous Ukrainian musicians, singers and composers. In the museum you can always buy CDs and booklets with photographs of S. Krushelnitskaya.
