Memorial to the victims of the occupation regimes `` Prison on Lontskogo '' - is one of the sights of the city of Lviv, located on Karl Bryullov street. The memorial to the victims of the occupation regimes was opened in a room in which for a very long time the punitive bodies of various authorities were located. The building was erected for the Austrian gendarmerie at the end of the 19th century, at the crossroads of the current Bandera and Copernicus streets. After that, the premises were equipped with prisons for the German, Polish and Soviet authorities.

In 1941, the largest number of political prisoners in all of Western Ukraine was destroyed in this place, and the Gestapo investigative prison was also located here.
