Bazhov in the city of Yekaterinburg - the house in which the famous Ural writer P.P. Bazhov. The permanent exhibition of the museum acquaints visitors with the life and work of the writer. The museum was founded in March 1966 by the decision of the executive committee of the city council. The museum exposition was opened for visitors in February 1969 The house on Chapaev Street, which houses the museum, was built by Pavel Petrovich himself about a hundred years ago. The Bazhov family lived in this house from 1914 until they moved to Kamyshlov. In 1923 the writers returned here and lived here until the last days of his life. After P. Bazhov's death, his wife V. A. Bazhova lived in the house until 1968. After Valentina Alexandrovna handed over the mansion to the museum, in return, having received a comfortable apartment. The P. Bazhov House-Museum, which can be seen today, has been preserved in its original appearance - with an authentic and complete furnishings of the kitchen, dining room and study. The room where part of the literary exposition is located, at the beginning of the first half of the 90s. was restored as a nursery, with objects received from the writer's family members. The Bazhovs' house was always full of children. P. Bazhov always took into account the opinion of children, talking with them confidentially and seriously. All important writing matters were discussed in the office at a round table. Here the owner met his visitors. Marshal of the Soviet Union G. Zhukov was one of the most respected guests of the house. Opposite the office there is a modest dining room, in which the whole Bazhov family once loved to gather in the evenings. Here they talked about the past day, listened to their father's stories about life and made plans for the future. In addition to the general furnishings of the house and decorations, there is also an impressive library of the Ural writer, where about 2 thousand books are kept. On one side, the house-museum faces a garden planted by the Bazhovs. A table under a linden tree and benches under a rowan tree have been preserved, beloved by Pavel Petrovich.
