The 72 Martyrs Mausoleum was erected in Huanghuagan Park in honor of 72 people who were involved in the revolutionary movement led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen. They died in March 1911 in a fierce battle.

The expenses for the construction of the mausoleum were borne by the Chinese from all over the world, regardless of the country in which they lived. Every Chinese considered it an honor to contribute money for construction costs. The mausoleum is located on Xianlichzhunlu Street.

Completed in 1918, the building is one of the most famous monuments of the pre-communist Chinese revolution. During the design and construction of the mausoleum, various ideas and symbols of architecture were used to personify freedom and democracy.

Installed in Hanhuagan Park, located on the Yellow Flower Hill, the memorial attracts many visitors with its solemnity and stunning architectural style. Here you will see many symbols calling for independence and democracy, and the top of the mausoleum is crowned with a miniature copy of the Statue of Liberty.
