King's Domain Park, which can be translated as the Royal Estate, is 36 hectares of lawns and walking paths in the heart of Melbourne on the south bank of the Yarra River. One of the city's most beautiful parks, it was founded in 1854 and got its name during the celebration of Melbourne's centenary in 1935.

The park is adjacent to popular tourist attractions such as Alexandra Gardens, Queen Victoria Gardens and the Royal Botanic Gardens. Inside are the Government Building, Sidney Meyer's Music Bowl, Port Phillip County First Superintendent Charles La Trobe's cottage and the Memorial. The stadium often hosts concerts of classical and popular music, and during the winter months it turns into an ice rink.

One of the attractions in the park is the lonely Calabrian pine tree. The seeds of this tree were brought by a young soldier returning to Australia from the First World War. Another famous tree in the park is a lush fern with a series of steps leading up to a small pool. The park is surrounded by a 4-kilometer track, which was once intended for horses, but today it is chosen by adherents of jogging.

The park contains a wide variety of monuments and sculptures, such as the Australian Aboriginal Memorial. Another interesting object is a sculptural composition, consisting of three bronze bells, dedicated to Tilly Aston, a blind activist who has done much to help people with disabilities and to spread Braille (for the blind) in everyday life. An obelisk with four lions dedicated to the memory of the Australians, killed during the South African War of 1899-1902. In general, there are many sculptures in the park that perpetuate the memory of soldiers - men and women - who served and did not return from various wars.
