Wieliczka is the oldest salt mine in Europe, an underworld of unique beauty. Despite the fact that it is about 700 years old, salt is mined here today. Giant salt crystals from this deposit have become the adornment of many mineralogical collections. The deposit itself is decorated with an underground church carved into the rock. The museum is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Salt mines are a labyrinth of footpaths 300 km long, these are 2040 halls and grottoes carved out in salt layers. The tour lasts 2 hours. The route runs along an underground track 2 km long, where there are wonderful underground lakes and spent chambers, unique chapels with salt bas-reliefs, an original collection of miner's structures. Plots of bas-reliefs and statues are traditional for Catholic shrines: the Savior with the Apostles and the Most Holy Theotokos.

A sanatorium is located in the preserved shafts at a depth of 135 m with a therapeutic microclimate, in underground halls decorated in national traditions, holidays, shows and evenings are held. The underground church and the chapel of the Holy Book, located at a depth of 101 m, amaze your imagination. As the patroness of Wieliczka, she guards the peace and quiet of this fabulous dungeon.
