Photo and description

The Museum of the Mosfilm film concern consists of several halls, which contain elements of scenery from famous films, various props, dummies, costumes and many more interesting exhibits. It is extremely interesting to see the scenery for famous films.

The museum has a large collection of retro transport. The excursion begins in the hangar, among old cars. Among the exhibits there is a tsar's carriage and postal carriage, a Peugeot phaeton, a Rolls-Royce convertible, and a Russo-Balt - a 1913 model. All exhibits have been restored, refurbished and are in working order. In the museum you can also see the famous "Volga" from the film "Beware of the Car" and "The Diamond Hand", "Mercedes-Benz" 1938 from the film "Seventeen Moments of Spring", driving which the audience remembered Stirlitz.

Among the exhibits there are very rare ones, for example: "Buick-Eight" in 1941, which belonged to the emperor of Manchuria; the 1937 "Packard" car of the executive class, which served the Soviet nomenclature - the legendary Chkalov and the army commander Voroshilov drove such a car. In the exposition you can see government models "ZIL - 101" in 1936 and "ZIS - 110" in 1945. The exhibition presents trucks, buses and various military equipment from the First and Second World Wars.

The collection of costumes is of great interest. Here you can see Helen's dress from the film adaptation of the novel "War and Peace" directed by Sergei Bondarchuk, the monastic attire of Andrei Rublev from the film of the same name directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, luxurious, colorful costumes from the film "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" directed by Ptushko, the costume of Ivan the Terrible from the film directed by Gaidai "Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Profession" and others.

The museum's exposition is constantly changing. After all, some of the exhibits continue to be filmed in new films. During the filming, the absentee's places are occupied by new exhibits. The studio owns a huge collection of costumes. Museum visitors can also see the film studio's dressing room. The excursion program necessarily includes a visit to the filming area of the film concern.

The Mosfilm studio has existed since 1923. It covers an area of approximately 40 hectares. Over the years of the studio's existence, more than two and a half thousand films have been shot on it. In fourteen pavilions of the largest film studio in Europe, work is in full swing. Films and television series are shot. Mosfilm's shooting studios are headed by the leading cinematographers of Russia: Danelia, Govorukhin, Abdrashitov, Menshov, Naumov, Eshpai, Surikova, Soloviev and other famous directors of the country.

In recent years, the technical base of Mosfilm has been seriously modernized. All types of film work (editing, computer graphics, telecopying) are carried out using the latest equipment.

A unique film fund has been preserved at Mosfilm. The film concern at its own expense is carrying out painstaking work on the restoration of films from the "golden" collection of the film studio.
