Photo and description

Mount Belasitsa is located 8 km from Kolashin. It is covered with fir and century-old beech forests. The ski season in this area starts in November and ends in late spring. The depth of the snow cover in winter sometimes reaches three meters, however, the grassy slopes create comfort for skiing even with a small amount of snow.

The northern side of Belasitsa is equipped with several slopes, the total length of which is 15 km. The main one of all the tracks is 4.5 km long. The beginning of the route is located at an altitude of just below 2 km, and the end is 1.5 km, i.e. the height difference is 560 meters, and the slope of the track, in turn, is 60 degrees. All this provides an opportunity for thrill-seekers to enjoy breathtaking skiing.

Tracks of all difficulties are located on the territory: from simple descents to professional difficult routes, which are interconnected by drag and chair lifts. Two of the tracks equipped in Belasitsa have a FIS certificate for holding international competitions in this place. There are also equipped trails for cross-country skiers. Some of the slopes can be used at night - for this special lighting was equipped there. In the near future, it is planned to expand the skiing area, as well as to lay additional new tracks, the length of which will reach 65 km.

In addition, the resort has special schools, rental points for various equipment (including snowmobiles and ATVs) , medical center and rescue service.

The slopes of Belasitsa always have abundant snow cover, but there is also a special technique for creating artificial snow, as well as regular maintenance of all tracks with snow-compacting machines.

The territory of Mount Belasitsa has very beautiful and varied nature: centuries-old trees, green meadows, colorful alpine grasses, which significantly distinguishes it from the Alps themselves. Famous rivers such as Tara and Lim also flow here. On the territory of Biogradska Gora there is one of the few relict forests that managed to survive. In the center of this forest is the unique and beautiful Biogradsko Lake.

There are restaurants serving local Montenegrin cuisine for tourists. There are hiking trails, allowing you to get to know the fauna and flora of the region.
