Photo and description

The Church of St. Lawrence was built in 1260 on the remains of an ancient Romanesque basilica. Between the two early Gothic towers you can see an excellent stained glass window - a rose, measuring 9 meters in diameter. Many of the interior riches were lost, some were sold to reduce the city's debts. During the Second World War, it was possible to preserve church treasures by placing them in the basements of the city. The building was completely destroyed. It was restored to its original form in 1952.

There are three masterpieces in the choir of the church: a tabernacle, a gilded candelabrum and a sculpture "Angel's Salutation" Feith Stoss. Above the choirs are magnificent stained glass windows: the Imperial stained glass window of 1477 and the Folklomer stained glass window.
