Photo and description

The Museum of Modern Fine Arts of Ukraine is one of the first private museums in Ukraine. The museum was created through the efforts of the patron Sergei Tsyupko, who for twenty years has collected an extensive collection of graphics, painting, sculpture, as well as decorative and applied art. The museum was opened in June 2005 in a house located on Bratskaya Street, which is located in the ancient Podol district of Kiev, which has long been associated with the creative environment. Two years later, the collection of the museum, which by that time consisted of more than four and a half thousand exhibits, was transferred to a separate building, which was specially equipped in full accordance with the storage standards adopted in Europe.

The main task of the museum is to collect, preserve, research and promotion of Ukrainian art of the XX-XXI centuries. One of the most important areas of the museum's work is also work with children, so its employees do everything to feel free and comfortable in it, simultaneously learning about the world and doing creative work. It is not surprising that even the emblem of the museum is a drawing made by the little daughter of its founder.

Even more opportunities opened before the museum after its move in 2009 to Glubochitskaya Street, 17. Large areas of the new premises (more than three and a half thousand square meters) make it possible to present the most outstanding works in the museum's collection in permanent exhibitions. In addition, a space is used where temporary exhibitions are located, a library and even a lecture hall, which is convenient for holding scientific and practical conferences. lectures, round tables and master classes. Since the museum staff are trying to take care of their visitors, for the sake of increasing comfort they have provided a parking lot and a cafe that can be visited by the whole family.
