Photo and description

Anjuna is a small town on the beautiful seaside of the smallest Indian state of Goa. One of the attractions that attracts the largest number of tourists to this small town is the famous flea market, which takes place on one of Anjuna's magnificent beaches, just off the main road, every Wednesday. Such a huge number of people flock there that, due to traffic jams, car traffic freezes almost all day. It is noteworthy that in this place you can not only buy something, but also sell: anyone who wants to trade at the Anjuna flea market only needs to pay 100 rupees per seat.

This market arose in the 1960s, during the time of the hippies, who became its kind of "organizers". They came to Anjuna beach all the time gathered in the company, listened to music, danced and sang until the morning. On the spot, they sometimes had to sell their own things in order to get money for living. Since then, this area has been "chosen" by sellers of all sorts of goods.

In this market you can buy a huge amount of all sorts of things: various souvenirs, clothes, jewelry, pipes for smoking, coconut carved candlesticks, books, stationery, belts, scarves, ritual paraphernalia, dolls, carpets, furniture, dishes, appliances, both handmade and factory-made items, both new and used. In addition, in this place, at every step, there are people who sell illegal goods - stolen equipment and drugs. But private police raids force them to be very careful.

The main rule is which is worth adhering to while in this market - you have to bargain for even the smallest and most insignificant thing.

You can immediately get yourself a memorable tattoo, either temporary, with the help of henna, or permanent.
