The Church of St. Mark, located on the square of the same name, is famous for its amazing roof. The colored tiles that cover it depict the coats of arms of Croatia, Dalmatia and Slavonia, as well as the city of Zagreb.

The church was built in the 13th century, but was rebuilt several times. The entrance is decorated with statues of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, St. Mark and other apostles. The interior of the church is decorated with works by the sculptor Ivan Mestrovic. Pay attention to the frescoes depicting the Slans of the Croatian royal family.
