Sapokka Water Park (Sapokka Water Garden Kotka) description and photos - Finland: Kotka. Detailed information about the attraction. Description, photographs and a map showing the nearest significant objects. The name in English is Sapokka Water Garden Kotka.

Photo and description

Sapokka Park, recognized as the most environmentally friendly center, was built using various types of natural stones and the best lighting. This water park has received the largest number of awards in Finland in various nominations in its entire history.

Sapokka is surrounded by a bay that resembles a boot in its shape. It is not surprising that there are versions of the origin of the park's name from the Russian word for “boots”. But these are just guesses of resourceful tourists.

A twenty-meter thundering waterfall splitting into small streams, beautiful ponds and various vegetation with a unique fragrance in summer, bright colors in autumn and a silent frozen bay in winter invite you to visit the beautiful Sapokka water park at any time of the year.

In addition to walking, both locals and tourists go jogging here, play and frolic with children, and also make dates. In the summer evenings in “Sapokka” you can find small concerts and performances held here on a special summer stage.

The amazing combination of three components: water, stone and light creates a feeling of complete harmony and tranquility in the park.
