The unique museum is located in the town of Wattens, half an hour drive from Innsbruck. It is called “Swarovski Crystal Worlds” and is dedicated to the achievements of this Austrian manufacturer of original crystal jewelry. You can get to the museum from Innsbruck by a special bus or regular train.

The location for the glass museum was not chosen by chance: it is in Wattens that a crystal processing plant belonging to the Swarovski firm operates. In 1995, the company celebrated its centenary by opening its own museum. The Vienna-based artist Andre Heller was commissioned to develop the concept of the museum. He got carte blanche to fulfill any of his fantasies. So in Wattens, surrounded by mountains, a fenced area with a labyrinth in the shape of an open hand appeared, an alpine slide with an observation deck and a gentle hill decorated with the image of a giant's head, which, according to legend, guards the entrance to the treasury, that is, to the kingdom of crystals, rock crystal and gems.

The Swarovski Crystal Worlds Museum consists of seven halls, exhibits in which are amazing. There is the Crystal Cathedral, the walls and dome of which are covered with crystal plates. It seems to museum visitors that they are inside a huge crystal. Another hall, the so-called Crystal Theater, is a place where all the exhibits suddenly come to life, taking guests into the world of the Looking Glass. The main treasure of the museum, which can be seen right at the entrance, is considered a large crystal with many facets.
