Photo and description

The Surawana Temple is a Hindu temple of the Majapahit empire, which is located in the village of Changgu, East Java province. It is worth mentioning the fact that the Majapahit Empire in Indonesia was the last Indianized kingdom in the 13th-16th centuries. There is an assumption that the temple of Suravan, or as it is also called - Chandi Surovono, was built in 1390, in honor of the prince Venger - Vijayarayas, who headed the Kingdom of Venger, which was part of the Majapahit empire. The temple is also called Vishnabhavanapura. Unfortunately, most of the temple has not survived to this day. Restoration work was carried out to restore the pedestal of the temple, the rest of the temple complex is still waiting for its turn.
