Landscape alley - under this name in Kiev there is a recreation area created on the very place where the defensive ramparts of the Upper City were previously located. In fact, Landscape Alley is a car-pedestrian path that almost repeats the landscape design objects and the rampart route. The alley begins near the observation deck, located near the National Museum of the History of Ukraine and stretches to houses number 36-40, which is on Bolshaya Zhitomirskaya Street.

The alley appeared in the early 80s of the twentieth century, and its project was prepared by the architect Avram Miletsky. The main purpose of the construction of the Landscape Alley is to give tourists the opportunity to view the views of the Dnieper and Podil from the height of the Upper Town. At first, the alley was planned only as part of the Old Kiev reserve, in addition to it, the Archaeological Museum in the open air, the Museum of Urban Development and Folk Crafts of the nineteenth (nineteenth) century, the buildings of the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, the Museum of the Institute of Archeology were to appear. It was also supposed to reconstruct Andreevsky descent and improve some of the Kiev mountains. Unfortunately, this grandiose project was not destined to be realized, the only thing that was brought to the end was the Landscape Alley. However, it alone was enough to make this place a real attraction in Kiev.

The arrangement of a children's park in it in 2009 gave a special charm to the Landscape Alley. Everything in this park attracts attention - and unusual shops in the form of a cat, a crow and a rabbit, and huge funny cats, fountains in the form of zebra heads and a baby elephant, a moaning cat lined with mosaics.
