Lanta Old Town (Ban Si Raya) in Thailand, Lanta Resort
Rating: 7,5/10 (101 votes)  The old town is one of the main island attractions. In ancient times, the city was called Ban Si Raya. It was a transshipment port for Arab and Chinese merchant ships sailing to Penang or Singapore. In the very center of the city, there are still old wooden houses that served both as residential buildings and as shops.
