Hammam (Turkish bath) of Roxelany got its name in honor of the beloved of the wives of Sultan Suleiman I (the Magnificent). The hammam was built in 1557 by the famous Turkish architect Sinan. The interior of Roxelana's hammam (like many other ancient baths and baths in Istanbul) is luxurious and impressive. For the last century and a half, the hammam has been used as a showroom for handmade carpets. Currently, the Roxelana hammam is used for its intended purpose as a bath.
