This caravan is the best preserved in Cappadocia. The Sultan Khan was located almost on the border of Cappadocia and was quite well protected from numerous nomads. The caravanserai included, in addition to rest rooms, a doctor's room , stables and even a bathhouse. There is a small mosque right in the center of the courtyard. The closed part of the caravanserai, in which they slept in winter, is very similar to a cathedral. Not only local merchants stayed in this caravanserai, but also traders from other countries.
