Sharapsa Khan or Sharavsin caravanserai was built on the Great Silk Road in the 13th century, at the initiative of Keyhusrev II, with the aim of joining Alanya to the city of Konya, then the capital of the Seljuk state.

Further, for many centuries, Sharapsa Khan served as a roadside hotel for travelers and merchants.

Geographically, Sharapsa Khan occupies about 1 hectare. This caravanserai was built as a fortress, because the raids of robbers at that time were not uncommon. The structure has a very non-standard building plan. The massive walls of the rectangular courtyard were lined with limestone and huge stones.

A beautiful portal located at the southern wall reflects the peculiarities of Seljuk art. There is also a small mosque located in the eastern part of the building.
