Gymnasium in Greece, Delphi resort

This complex was originally built in the 5th century BC and has been reconstructed many times over its centuries-old history. In the gymnasium, athletes trained in preparation for sports competitions. There are special rooms for playing ball, wrestling grounds, changing rooms, swimming pools and saunas. Since antiquity, the colonnade of the indoor hall, where training took place when the weather did not allow them to be carried out in the fresh air, has survived to this day ... And in the central part of the gymnasium there is an Ionic peristyle made of blue limestone.
