Bridge over the River Kwai in Thailand, Kanchanaburi resort
Rating: 7,7/10 (109 votes)  This bridge is famous for an American film shot in 1957. The bridge was built during the Second World War. Difficult conditions: heat, epidemics and fast current - claimed the lives of 60 thousand construction prisoners of war. A few years later, the bridge, built at such a huge cost, was destroyed. After the war, it was rebuilt along with part of the railway.
