Beach vacation


The beaches of the peninsula are quite diverse: pebble, rocky, natural platform beaches, as well as artificial concrete slabs. Sandy beaches in Istria are very rare.

Due to the rocky terrain, most hotels in the resort are located 50-200 meters from the coast, paths leading to them through green parks.

All the beaches in the resorts are municipal, well equipped and clean. Umbrellas, sunbeds and towels are provided for vacationers for an additional fee.

When relaxing on the beaches of Istria, it is recommended to wear special shoes that will protect your feet from sea urchins or rocky seabed.

Porec


Porec is one of the largest and liveliest resorts with a beautiful waterfront. In this Mediterranean city, you can still see the elements of ancient urban planning: houses, temples, medieval fortress towers and walls.

The Basilica of Saint Euphrasius is the pearl of the urban ensemble, which has preserved the Byzantine mosaics made in sixth century. In 1997, the basilica was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Pula


Pula is the capital of Istria and also an international tourist center, which was able to preserve the historical buildings of the Middle Ages and the Roman Ages.

The visiting card of the city is the ancient Roman Amphitheater, which, after the Colosseum, is the second largest. It currently hosts opera festivals, gala concerts, film festivals, theatrical performances and sports events.

Rovinj


Rovinj is one of the most famous resorts in Croatia. The excellent architectural appearance of the ancient city, green squares, marble pavements, as well as pristine nature and many attractions will give a lot of positive impressions.

The International Regatta is held here in May. In summer, you can visit the International Photographers Festival as well as the International Pop Music Festival. In September, St. Euphemia's Day is organized here, which is accompanied by a gastronomic festival, festive festivities and fireworks.

Umag


Umag is a small cozy town located in the northwestern part of Istria.
