Ruins of Knidos, Turkey, Marmaris resort
Rating: 8,2/10 (836 votes)  The ruins of Knidos, located in the western part of the Datca peninsula, in the Tekirbrnu region, are also worth visiting. Knidos was formerly the most important port city in the Caria region. One part of the city was located on land, the other on the island of Triopion. After archaeological excavations, evidence of the Ancient Roman, Ancient Greek and Byzantine civilizations was found here. Today in the city you can observe the preserved lion statues, odeon, large and small theaters, the temple of Corinth. A beautiful panorama of the surroundings opens from the hill.
