Luxor Museum in Egypt, Luxor Resort
Rating: 7,5/10 (300 votes)  The Luxor Museum was officially opened in 1975. It contains a collection of early Christian and ancient Egyptian art. The most interesting exhibits of the museum – these are reliefs from the temple of Thutmose III, a sculptural group depicting the god Nil Sebek and Amenhotep III, various papyri and much more. This museum also includes some exhibits from the tomb of Tutankhamun: models of funerary boats, a wooden head Meheturet in the image of a cow, covered with gold, statuettes of servants in another world – ushabti and some other jewels. The museum's exposition is periodically replenished. The most significant was the 1989 replenishment. Then, unique sculptures were found in the Luxor temple, which added to the museum's collection.
