Geography and climate

The Turkish ski resort of Palandoken is located 10 kilometers southwest of the city of Erzurum and is the most popular destination for outdoor activities among the picturesque mountain landscape. Palandoken is an amalgamation of ski stations covering the territory from the Palandoken pass to the mountain peak of Buyuk-Ejder and Karakaya.

You can get to Palandoken by car in just 15-20 minutes from the airport of Erzurum.

The climate of Palandoken is continental, the snow cover in these parts begins to form in November and usually persists steadily until the end of spring.
