The construction of the mausoleum was carried out by order of Askebe Tubesi in 1230. For the construction of the complex, stone was used, and the inner walls and the dome were covered with bricks. There were two rooms in the building – mesjita and the sultan's tomb. A few meters from the mesjit, on a pedestal, there is a minaret made of bricks. The tomb is located on a rock, in which you can observe three hollowed out two-meter tombs. According to scientists, these tombs were previously used as reservoirs. The vessels for ash, placed in the garden and salons, are a peculiar symbol of the mausoleum. As it turned out, these vessels are products of local origin, which were widespread in the Cilician region. The vessels were made of limestone and used in funeral ceremonies.
