Photo and descriptionThe unique natural park of Pozz-Maladeta is located in northeastern Spain, in the Aragonese Pyrenees, near the Spanish-French border. The park covers an area of 33,440.60 hectares and includes the highest peaks of the Iberian mountain range - Aneto peak (3404 m), Popps peak (3375 m), Punta d'Astorg peak (3355 m) and Maladeta peak (3308 m). The Pyrenees Mountains are undoubtedly an invaluable treasure of Spain, and the Pozza Maladeta Park shows us all their beauty and grandeur. The park has challenging mountain trails for climbers, easy hiking trails, and even trails that can be driven by car, enjoying the breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. There are 13 glaciers in the park, over 95 glacial lakes and many gorgeous waterfalls. It also presents a rich flora and fauna typical of the highlands. Many of the plants and animals that have survived on the territory of Posts-Maladet are rare endangered species. Park Poss-Maladeta annually receives a huge number of tourists, attracting them with endless opportunities for both winter and summer recreation.
