Doner-Kumbet Mausoleum in Turkey, Kayseri resort
Rating: 7,8/10 (410 votes)  This mausoleum was built in 1275 for the ruler of Ceyhan Khatun. It is decorated with arabesques, a stylized image of the tree of life, two-headed lions and eagles. Outwardly, the mausoleum strongly resembles a yurt. This is due to the old tradition of the Turkic peoples to bury the dead in their traditional dwellings.
