Rating: 8,3/10 (200 votes)  Fountain of Justice – a bright landmark of Frankfurt am Main, a sculptural fountain located on the main square of Frankfurt Roemerberg opposite the Roemer town hall. In the center of the fountain's sculptural composition – sculpture of the Roman goddess of Justice. There is no blindfold on her eyes, which is not traditional for the images of this goddess. At the corners of the fountain there are four statues of nymphs. Water pours from their breasts, which symbolizes fertility. During the time of the Holy Roman Empire, in honor of the coronation of emperors, wine, white or red, was served in the fountain instead of water. Today's fountain, built in 1611, is a sculptural complex of red sandstone, which heads , as before, the statue of the Goddess of Justice. However, the statue began to deteriorate over time, in 1863 it was restored, and in 1872 – dismantled. A new statue of the Goddess of Justice was cast in bronze in 1887 at the expense of the wine merchant Gustav Manskopf. The bronze statue was restored in 2007. The statue of the Goddess of Justice has become a symbol and a popular motif for advertising and television coverage of the trials.
