Rating: 7,6/10 (100 votes) Walk of Stars in Birmingham - Broad Street, part of which is decorated in the style of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
To place the name of this or that figure on the star alley, there are selection criteria: he must perform in one of the main city buildings (International Palace of Congresses, National Closed Arena, Symphony Palace and Repertory Theater); Birmingham should be his hometown or closely associated with human life. The Avenue of Stars immortalizes the names of people who have achieved success in various fields of creativity: cinema, television, music, radio, theater, literature, sports and business.
The idea of creating an alley of stars came from Harry Raybould, a resident of Birmingham. He introduced it to the city authorities and, with the support of Steve Hewlett's local public-private partnership, created a brand and website of the same name.
The first to appear on the avenue of stars was Ozzy Osbourne. The ceremony took place in the summer of 2007 in the city's Centenari square. In the autumn of the same year, a second name appeared on the alley - comedian Jasper Carrot. In the winter of 2007, the name of Slade musician Noddy Holder was carved into the alley. Fences were placed around the stars as a warning and protection. Among the stars, whose name is immortalized on the alley in Birmingham, are Murray Walker, Norman Peintin, Julie Walters, Tony Iommi, Beav Beavan and others.
