This museum is unique - it is located in a rural area in the building of the Cultural Center, built by the architect Sipenen Artaud. The Art Museum has over 1400 exhibits, part which belongs to the Imatra Art Society, and the other part belongs to the city. The centerpiece of the collection is the work of 20th century Finnish artists. It also houses works by European artists of the 19th century, such as works Italian masters, world famous for their wooden sculptures, many connoisseurs of art come to see and engravings of Japanese masters of the 17th century. In the museum various temporary exhibitions are regularly held, to see which many tourists come from all over the world. The entrance to the museum is free, you can visit it in the summer months from Monday to Friday, and in the spring, winter and in the fall from Monday to Saturday.
